It was an exceptional evening for point guard Jaison Valdez (188-1995) who led the winners and scored 7 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Kevin Obanor (203-1999, college: Texas Tech) accounted for 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Greek point guard Rafail Lanaras (196-2001) came up with 13 points and 4 assists and Eusebio Suero added 12 points respectively for Caneros in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
